Becoming an Affiliate

What are the benefits of becoming an affiliate?

What does is cost to become an affiliate?

Health solutions offers multiple choices:

  • Web masters who are capable of developing their own site (not using our templates) are free to become a Health Solutions affiliate at no cost.
  • Web affiliates who choose one of our premier templates will have a one-time set up fee of $4995
  • Web affiliates and call centers will have a choice of three new turn-key marketing solutions including professionally designed templates, SEO integration and lead conversion tools.

Within the U.S. we accept:

  • Major Credit Cards (logos)
  • E-Checks / Debit
  • Paper Checks (see note)
  • Money Orders (see note)
  • We do not accept PayPal

Note: Checks and money orders are picked up and processed by our bank. Once notification of the payment is received, your order is forwarded to the Doctor and Pharmacy for approval. Money orders and paper check orders have a delivery time quoted as 7-10 business days. The process can be faster but is not usually longer.

Please follow this process for paying with paper checks or money orders…

What do I need to do to sign up?

Step 1: Review the affiliate agreement

Step 2: Sign up to become an affiliate

Step 3: Submit payment of $79.95 (you’ll do this during the application process)

Step 4: Submit a completed W-9 form (this form is mandatory even if you are exempt or outside the U.S.)

Do I have to answer the phone or provide customer service?

No. The benefit of being a Health Solutions Affiliate is that you don’t have to provide any phone or customer support. Your affiliate web site will show our toll free phone number so that your customers can place their orders online or by phone with our customer service department. Becoming a Health Solutions Affiliate is a great way to generate extra income while keeping your current job.

Do I need to have computer skills to become an affiliate?

No! We’ll customize your standard site and get it up and running quickly for a set-up charge of only $7995. We’ll even register your domain name at no extra charge! We also offer optional web hosting for just $995 /month. If you are web-savvy, we allow you to modify our templates in any way you like and host them yourself. If you want to customize your site on your own, a common understanding of HTML and CSS is necessary. Click here for a list of changes to avoid unless you are technically proficient.

Can you create my website for me?

Yes! We’re pleased to offer a turn-key approach to have NEW affiliates up and running in no time. Our experts will secure your domain name, customize your order form and install the standard web site of your choice for just $7995. If you already have a website, we’re unable to customize your existing site or integrate our products but you may do that on your own.

HSN now has three web site options to choose from:

1.    Standard Site - $7995 set up: Simply choose from any of 10 web templates; standard sites do not allow for customization. The header, email contact and phone number connect directly to Health Solutions’ customer service reps.

2.      Premium Web Site - $39500 with FREE set up: We’ll create a custom header for your premium affiliate site. At your option we’ll include your own phone # and email link if you would like to have customers contact you directly. Otherwise, the phone number and email links will connect directly to Health Solutions customer service reps. We’ll also include a ‘Live Chat’ button allowing your customers to connect in real time for help with their order. All other aspects of your premium site remain unchanged. 

3.    Web Master Site – no charge: With this option you host, build and maintain your own site and have complete control over its contents.

Can I talk with other affiliates?

Getting Paid

What is your commission rate?

Retail Price (you have total control over your pricing and can change it at any time)
+ Shipping (shipping is included in the base cost. Click here for more details on shipping?)
- Base Cost (as your sales increase, you’ll have the opportunity to buy for less)
= Commission (how much you make is up to you!)

You set your own retail price and shipping price, in effect setting your own commission rate.

When are commissions paid?

Commissions are paid weekly one week after the end of the period. We never miss a payment. Each commission period starts on a Tuesday and ends the following Monday. After submitting a completed W-9 form, you’ll receive a year-end 1099 statement unless you are exempt.

How will you pay out commissions?

Our base costs are easily understood with no confusing or ambiguous formulas. You can set your own retail prices and shipping costs plus we provide a discount incentives for high volume partners.

Retail + Shipping – Base Cost = Your Commission

Commissions are paid weekly by wire transfer or check. We do not provide direct deposit. There is no charge to be issued a check either inside or outside the U.S. For faster payment, you may choose to have us wire transfer your commissions with a domestic U.S. fee of $20, and an international fee of $30.

How much does your average affiliate earn?

A typical sale averages about $120 with commissions ranging from $30-$40 of that amount. Commission payments average from $500-$3000 per week. Our top producing affiliates produce considerably more as a result of their focus and dedication to their business and clients.

Do you take out taxes from my commissions?

No. Before your first commission payment can be sent you’ll need to complete a W-9 form. You MUST have a completed W-9 form on file with us even if you are exempt or live outside the U.S. Download W-9 form here.

Do I get a commission if my customers call the toll free number to re-order?

Our customer service reps are trained to determine the origin of a customer’s call. However, if the customer simply can't tell us where they found our phone number, we can reference the affiliate ID on their previous order and credit the sale to you that way.

Increasing Sales

How should I set the product pricing on my affiliate site?

You'll want to set your prices high enough that you'll make a profit, but low enough to be competitive. There are several approaches to generating sales. For instance, you can set your price to $20 below the minimum retail price attract customers, then add $20 for overnight shipping. Or, you can advertise 'Free Shipping on All Items' and set your product prices higher. Find out what your competitors do and be creative!

Do I have to answer the phone or provide customer service?

What if I want to take orders by phone directly from my customers?

The benefit of being a Health Solutions Affiliate is that you don’t have to provide any phone or customer support. This frees you up to spend your time as you like while still generating sales. However, if you’d like to operate your own call center, we will create and host a dedicated ordering site for the exclusive use of your call center staff. Just contact us to get set up.

Do I get a commission if my customers call the toll free number to re-order?

Can I offer free shipping promotions?

Yes. Standard overnight shipping is included in the base cost, so how you advertise shipping (included, free, $18, etc.) is your choice. As long as the final retail price is above the minimum retail, your shipping costs can be as high or low as you wish.

What about e-mail promotions?

Spam, defined as unsolicited email of any kind, promoting our products is not only against our policy, but is against the law. We're proactive with spammers in that any questionable activity is met with swift deactivation of the account until proof of innocence is provided. Each of our existing customers has an opportunity to opt out of reminder notices and promotions. We respect this option and insist that you do as well.

Can I enter orders in bulk?

Only call centers are free to enter orders in bulk. We make it easy by setting up and hosting the call center order page. Our doctors must have a way of contacting the customer in case they need to discuss medical history or get clarification on the questionnaire answers. Each order must also have a unique customer login, either using their actual email address or creating a unique one for them.

Can you create my website for me?

Yes! We’re pleased to offer a turn-key approach to have NEW affiliates up and running in no time. If you already have a website, we’re unable to customize your existing site or integrate our products but you may do that on your own.

Do you provide customized web sites if I don’t have the skill or time to do it myself?

Yes! The one-time set up charge of $7995 allows our experts to create your web site for you. Just choose your domain name and we’ll register it for you and set up your site so starting your business is fast and easy. We also offer a customized Premium Site for $39500  (free set up!) where we do the work for you.

Can you host my web site?

Yes. If you’d like us to handle your hosting, we now offer hosting in partnership with www.GoDaddy.com for $995/month, billed semi-annually. If you have questions about hosting, please email affiliates@healthsol.net. Actual hosting is provided by GoDaddy.com therefore we cannot control or take responsibility for losses due to any host. That said, we work with this vendor because of their excellent track record and reliability. You are free to use any host of your choice.

Who do I call for technical support?

Affiliate tech support is available monday - friday 6am - 4pm Pacific Time via email or by phone at 206.974.0100. Please note that free technical support is restricted to the areas we can control such as our order form. Support requests beyond the scope of our hosted order form are provided on a fee-for-service basis.

Can I host my order form through my own web server?

Emphatically, no. Customer security and privacy are among our top concerns in running the most compliant, legal program available. A remotely hosted order form does not allow us enough control to be able to guarantee our bank that customer data is secure. However, your order form can be customized to look as though it's integrated with your own site. We provide that service for you as part of your one-time set up charge of $7995(link to the web hosting PDF)

What can I do with my website?

Once you log-in to our secure network, you’ll be able to quickly manage your web site including:
  • Customize your order form settings including colors, fonts, borders and more
  • Create multiple “storefronts” to promote sales to specific markets
  • Create and manage promotional campaigns using a tracking code of your choice
  • Set your own custom pricing on all products to control your profit margin
  • Track your commissions and overall sales including order status
  • Set your own meta descriptions and keywords

What am I not allowed to do with my website?

You are not allowed to host the order form itself on your server. If you have the technical expertise and a solid understanding of HTML (hyper text markup language) and CSS (cascading style sheets), you may customize your site as much as you like. IMPORTANT: if you attempt to alter your site in a way that causes malfunction, there is a $75/hr charge for technical support. Therefore, unless you are ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENT in your skills, we strongly encourage you to avoid altering ANY FILE contained in the Affiliate Template.zip

How do you secure the order form?

We secure all traffic using Secure Socket Layer (SSL). SSL provides anonymous encryption through the world’s most recognized security provider. Rest assured that your information and your customers' information is safe and secure. We provide secure online payment with VeriSign Credit Card Gateway. Credit Card information and transactions are secured through the world’s most reputable merchant payment system. Customer credit card information is NOT kept on record to prevent theft or fraud.

Do you charge for technical support if my site goes down?

Yes. While Health Solutions Network takes responsibility for any errors caused by server upgrades or internal changes, such issues are seldom the cause of technical troubles you may be facing. If the problem is on our end, we will solve it at no cost to you. In most cases, technical problems are due to 3rd party service providers or your own alteration of code. In those situations, technical support is provided at $75/hr and payment is due at the time of service. Major credit cards accepted.

  • Issues relating to hosting
  • External files hosted outside Health Solutions Network
  • Aspects of site beyond the order form
  • Any template files edited by you or your service providers
  • Switching web hosts
  • Updates initiated by your current web host

Other Questions

Do you take out taxes from my commission?

What if I don’t have much online experience?

Not to worry! Unlike other affiliate programs, we don’t have you just sign up then leave you to yourself to figure it out. With an affordable set-up charge of just $7995, we’ll actually do the work for you; registering your domain name, customizing your order form and getting your website live on the Internet. It doesn’t get any easy than that! Our helpful affiliate support reps do what it takes to help you.

Why isn’t it free to become an affiliate like other Rx sites?

The answer is simple... you get what you pay for. Our competitors may not charge you to become an affiliate but as a result, they cannot afford to help you get off the ground. The reality is that to actually see results, you’ll need some support to get started. Our one-time set up fee is the best solution to seeing that you don’t get derailed by technical difficulties before you’ve even begun.

How can I track my results?

You can see real-time statistics 24/7 on sales, commissions and package shipping. Just log in to your account at https://www.healthsol.net/affiliatetools/ using your username and password. Mouse over the SALES tab then choose either COMMISSION STATEMENTS or TRACKING. You can also create multiple tracking IDs to track the performance of all of your campaigns or websites. The tracking ID shows up in your sales reports and lets you know where a particular sale originated.

What if I have more than one web site?

Great! You can link your Health Solutions Affiliate account to as many different sites as you like. We allow you to create different marketing campaigns to promote specific types of products to particular markets. Each campaign you create has a unique ID# which you can connect with a specific web site. In that way, you’ll be able to see which of your websites is generating the most sales.
